Maze Runner Series Book Covers
For this university project we had the exciting opportunity to redesign the book covers for The Maze Runner Series. This project challenged us to blend expressive typography with dynamic illustration elements, capturing the thrilling essence of the series. Our goal was to create covers that not only stand out on the shelves but also resonate with the adventurous spirit of the story. Additionally, we designed dust covers that added an extra layer of visual intrigue and protection. This redesign project allowed us to push our creative boundaries and bring a fresh, captivating look to a beloved book series.
For the First book we decided to make use of the fearsome Greaver on the cover page to show the main story line of the book, or rather what the teenagers believed the main antagonist to be! The second book makes use of the Scorch, a place that is a barren of life, yet in the shadows crawls more than the infected. The third book illustrates the loss of friendship in the series and how death is only one way to lose a friend. All three books make use of a maze in the background that represents the need to find out, discover, and go through trails to become who the teenagers are.
